Lasting Knowledge

Editorial policy

We want readers to be able to follow what a piece says, see where its claims come from and tell explanation from opinion. Our editorial choices favour clarity, context and honest limits.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against suitable sources and aim to distinguish established information from interpretation. We explain specialist terms when they matter, avoid implying certainty where it is not warranted and revise wording that could leave a misleading impression.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to promise favourable coverage to a partner. Paid or otherwise arranged material is clearly labelled at the point it appears. Partnership links and placements are identified so readers can distinguish them from editorial recommendations.

Corrections

If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and include the relevant page or passage and what seems wrong. We review correction requests, update confirmed errors and make the correction clear when the change materially affects a piece.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Where that applies, the illustration is labelled. Images are used to aid understanding, not as evidence for a factual claim.
